Dear Guests!

This brief description is meant to serve as a small orientation aid for you. Please take note of and follow the general rules of conduct for hiking in the mountainous terrain. Please pay particular attention to wearing practical clothing and gear, above all put on suitable shoes and do not forget to carry some form of rain shelter.

You should undertake long tours only under favourable weather conditions. Please remain on the marked routes, conserve the alpine flowers and do not throw any waste. We wish you a relaxing holiday and a pleasant hiking experience at the Goldeck!

Starting point is the ropeway at the valley station:

  • No. 210 Hopfgartner Inn, Schwaig – Goldeck village.  Shadowy forest path. Walking time approx. 3.5 hours.

Starting point is the centre station of the ropeway:

  • No. 32 Goldeck village – Reservoir – Ropeway mountain station – Goldeck summit. Slope 274 over a wide ski rope, followed by a wide pasture. Walking time approx. 1.5 hours.
  • No. 210 Goldeckhütte – Goldeck summit – Ropeway mountain station. Pastures or forest route, and beyond the Goldeckhütte, an alpine slope. Walking time approx. 1.5 hours.

Starting point is the ropeway at the mountain station:

  • No. 210 Goldeck summit – Martennock – Goldeckhütte – Goldeck village. Alpine slope up to Goldeckhütte, and then pastures or forest route. Walking time approx. 1.5 hours.
  • No. 210 Gusenalm: The route leads over the wide slopes of the Egger Alm towards Thörl and from there further on to Gusenalm. Highly attractive landscape. Walking time to and fro approx. 3 hours.
  • No. 210 Gusenalm—Eckwand—Weißensee. Below the Eckwand, one slope branches off and leads to the “Stosia”. From here you walk downhill towards the eastern bank of the Weißensee (Lake). Walking time approx. 5 hours. You have the option of hiking further towards Neusach, Techendorf instead of going downhill towards the eastern bank of the Weißensee (Lake). Walking time approx. 8 hours.

Starting point is the car park at Seetal

  • Finishing point of the  Goldeck panorama route:
  • Goldeck summit: Route to the summit starting from the entry to the car park, no route markers. Pleasant hiking trail. Ascent approx. 40 minutes.
  • Goldeckhütte: Route to the summit starting from the entry to the end of the car park. Near the ridge there is a branch-off bearing a signpost towards the right. Ascent approx. 50 minutes.
  • No. 286 Kapeller Alm – Gusenalm – Thörl – Goldeck summit – end of the car park
  • No. 210 Wonderful Goldeck circular route across spectacular pastures. Walking time approx. 2.5 hours or from the Kapeller Alm – Thörl via the Egger Alm no. 210, via route no. 32 to the Goldeck VILLAGE and via Goldeckhütte no. 210 to the end of the car park. Walking time approx. 3 1/2 hours.
  • No. 287 Hochstaff: Route 286 up to the Gusenalm, and thereafter route 210 in the direction of the Weißensee (Lake). Just below the transition point there is a branch-off in the route 287 towards the left to the summit of the Staff.
